See yourself developing knowledge and skills in plant engineering by performing maintenance engineering duties under the close supervision of the plant manager, plant engineer, and/or superintendent of plant engineering. Be a part of supervising skilled maintenance personnel and directing the modification, improvement, as well as installing high-tech equipment in a state of the art manufacturing facility.

 Primary Functions 

  • Plan and coordinate equipment installations due to new construction or revisions to existing facilities
  • Train and supervise maintenance personnel
  • Troubleshoot mechanical processes
  • Monitor and control energy use
  • Negotiate and oversee contract work
  • Utilize Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Project communication with plant management
  • Increase equipment reliability and up time through maintenance processes

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Communicate effectively: effectively relates to, coordinates with, and integrates with other departments and shifts to meet operation’s needs
  • Timely follow through: assures projects and duties are completed in a timely and accurate manner and to the necessary standards to ensure equipment reliability and safety
  • Drives change: participates in the development of new production processes and equipment in cooperation with R & D, Engineering, and Operations
  • Increase skill sets: enhance one’s professional skills by taking part in training and development opportunities that are presented to improve growth
  • Inspire employees: motivate other team members to continually improve, become more innovative, and prevent errors throughout the company
  • Time management: organize and utilize time effectively to allow for completion of projects and duties and attendance in meetings all within the specified date and time
