Breeder Farm Supervisor

Envision managing the environmental conditions of the farm’s flocks, seeing that all details necessary for maximizing performance are carried out on a consistent basis.  

Primary Functions 

  • Lead and support the implementation of principles and philosophies expressed in company documents within the farm
  • Maintain accurate egg records, mortality, individual flock records pertaining to broody control, night birds, bird handling, time cards, and attendance calendars
  • Manage and monitor the environmental conditions of the farm’s flocks; seeing that all details necessary for maximizing performance are carried out on a consistent basis
  • Assure that the farm’s operation is done in a manner that will enhance public perception of the company within the local community

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Communicate effectively: assure that all employees are kept informed and involved in department activities and problem solving through a regular schedule of employee meetings, salaried meetings, and participation on Continual Improvement Process (CIP) problem solving teams
  • Timely follow through: effectively and efficiently complete duties and projects within specified time period
  • Drives change: examine different ways to plan and direct farm work within the assigned farm
  • Increase skill sets: understand all sanitation and isolation procedures as set forth by Breeder Division policy, along with all company policies, rules, and/or guidelines
  • Inspire employees: assure growth of your farm team members and develop those who have the ability to promote within the farm and the department
  • Time management: assist with the planning and directing of farm work within assigned farm on a regularly scheduled basis within parameters set forth by corporate and division policies

Training 

Your initial training will include Continual Improvement Process training which will provide a common language and understanding of our commitment to meeting agreed-upon customer expectations 100% of the time.  You will also receive New Hire Orientation which will provide an introduction to:
