Hatchery Supervisor

See yourself maximizing least cost poult production, which meets and/or exceeds customer specifications by planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling all activities at assigned hatchery. 

Primary Functions 

  • Plan and direct work within assigned hatchery on a regular scheduled basis, within parameters set forth by corporate and division policies.
  • Manage all machines within assigned hatchery to achieve optimum hatching performance.
  • Manage the environmental conditions of hatching equipment; seeing that all details necessary for maximizing performance are carried out on a consistent basis.
  • Know, understand, and enforce all sanitation and isolation procedures as set forth by Hatchery/Breeder Division policy.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Communicate effectively: foster and maintain a good relationship between assigned hatchery and growers
  • Timely follow through: schedule and order hatching supplies in a timely manner
  • Drives change: be creative and innovative by generating new ideas and procedures for updating hatchery
  • Increase skill sets: minimize trucking costs by consistently finding the least cost method of delivering poults
  • Inspire employees: maintain your assigned hatchery and working areas in a neat and orderly condition as well as encourage employees to follow
  • Time management: maintain accurate egg records, set records, machine maintenance records, hatching environment records, time cards and attendance calendars all within set schedules

Your initial training will include Continual Improvement Process training which will provide a common language and understanding of our commitment to meeting agreed-upon customer expectations 100% of the time.  You will also receive New Hire Orientation which will provide an introduction to:
