Primary Functions

  • Actively participates in the establishment, review, and implementation of manufacturing engineering objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinates the manufacturing engineering function in regard to the acquisition and implementation of all processing equipment and new technology
  • Coordinates the manufacturing engineering function for optimum integration with plant management's macro an micro objectives and activities
  • Utilizes proper techniques to work design in regard to product flow, plant layouts, line balancing, material handling, equipment assignment, and work methods

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Communicate effectively: continue to follow-up on projects to assure that return has been obtained
  • Timely follow through: review ideas with workers and supervision including plant manager and plant superintendents within a timely manner
  • Drives change: finds new methods to impact yields of raw materials, and supplies
  • Increase skill sets: keep up with current labor relations and maintain a working knowledge of all work rules
  • Inspire employees: pursue and evaluate new technology for potential applications and share ideas with supervisors
  • Time management: provide information on the availability, evaluation, and application for all processing, packaging, and material handling equipment in an effective manner on top of all other responsibilities
