How to Stuff a Turkey
The best way to prepare dressing is to bake it separately in a greased, covered casserole during the last hour while the turkey roasts.
If you decide to stuff the turkey, use these tips for a safe, delicious side dish:
- Stuff the turkey just before roasting.
- Stuff the body and neck cavity loosely.
- Allow about ¾ cup of stuffing per pound of turkey. Bake extra stuffing separately.
- Stuffing should be cooked to 165°F.
