Words From The Farm
“Love is a strong word to use when it comes to farming. We are constantly fixing on things, tilling shavings and maintaining our grounds to have a safe and secure environment for our birds. Farming isn’t a 9-5 job; it’s our life and these Jennie-O birds are part of our life. We sing to them when they are just babies, so they get used to our voices and we pray for their safety and wellbeing as we do our barn checks. It’s incredible to watch them grow and we feel proud when they leave, knowing we did our best in raising them. We realize all the time and effort we’ve invested will soon be enjoyed during a fun family dinner or a quick turkey taco night. It’s a good feeling knowing these birds help feed our Nation. ”
